This summer, we had the privilege of welcoming Miguel Indurain to La Serra for a weekend of road cycling, food and scenery. It was a very special opportunity to introduce Berguedà in the way we love most: on two wheels.
Quiet roads, mountain passes and landscapes that make you want to look up from the handlebars. Berguedà has so much to offer cycling enthusiasts: climbs, routes to discover and that special feeling of riding far from the crowds.
Throughout the weekend, La Serra was the meeting point and a place to rest for an experience we organised alongside local people and businesses. A stay centred on cycling, but also on everything that happens when we get off the bike: conversations, good food and time together.

A welcome with a taste of the region
The weekend began on Friday with the arrival of our guests and dinner at La Serra, prepared by Hostal Sant Maurici. Home-style cooking and locally sourced produce welcomed the group as we shared our excitement for the rides ahead.
Saturday: discovering Berguedà with Miguel Indurain
On Saturday morning, we were joined by those taking part in the one-day experience. Coffee and a sweet treat from La Maglia set the scene for a day exploring Berguedà on two wheels.

We followed the La Serra – Queralt – Vilada – Cobert de Puigcercós route, discovering the varied landscapes of Berguedà and enjoying its roads and mountain passes. Sharing these kilometres with Miguel Indurain made the ride especially memorable, with refreshments and support provided by Velodrom along the way.

The day continued back at La Serra with lunch with Nandu Jubany. Outdoors, beside the pool and in an informal setting, we refuelled and shared stories from the ride at our own pace.

The afternoon brought the North3 experience and time to relax: a swim, conversations and a chance to enjoy La Serra. To round off the day, we gathered around the table once more for locally inspired cooking from Hostal Sant Maurici.

Sunday: cycling through Lluçanès
On Sunday, we shared breakfast with those joining us for the final day before getting back on our bikes.
This time, we followed the Tresors del Lluçanès route, a road cycling itinerary that allowed us to keep exploring the surrounding area and clock up more kilometres together. A second day to enjoy the scenery and the pleasure of riding in good company.
Back at La Serra, an aperitif, the pool and lunch with chef Claudia awaited us. A relaxed farewell to a weekend of cycling, nature and good company.
La Serra, a meeting place for cycling
Hosting this stay gave us the chance to share our way of experiencing the region: heading out to explore, meeting the people who are part of it and enjoying everything it has to offer.
Thank you to Miguel Indurain, everyone who joined us and all the partners who helped make it possible. We take away memories of the kilometres we shared and the desire to keep introducing Berguedà in the way we love most: by bike.
